Fostering For Us

Fostering is highly specialised because it entails looking after someone else's child for a specific period of time, or in some cases, until the child reaches independence.

At Jay Fostering we recruit foster carers who are able to meet the needs of a wide range of children and young people who require the stability of a warm caring home.

The reasons why children are looked after by foster carers vary enormously. Each child or young person's circumstances are unique and by providing a safe caring family environment, foster carers could make a difference to a child's life.

We are therefore looking for patient, open, highly motivated individuals and couples who can demonstrate that they can provide a secure and stable home to vulnerable children.

Foster carers are needed for a whole range of different placements. Depending on suitability, you can be considered for a wide range of foster placements or specialise in a certain area, for example:

  • Asylum seekers
  • Parent and child
  • Teenagers
  • Children with disabilities
  • Babies

If you become a foster carer with Jay Fostering, you will not just be joining a committed, friendly and child orientated team, you will also be able to access the following benefits:

  • A placement fee that both reflects that the true cost of looking after a foster child as well as providing an allowance for your hard work (a higher fee may be secured for those with professional experience)
  • Generous respite entitlement

  • 24/7 Support - you will have access to a social worker 24 hours a day
