Salary – up to £55,000 plus car allowance

Jay Fostering, one of the fastest growing independent fostering agencies in the East and West Midlands Our team of close knit team of social workers are proud to offer well matched placements and provide an “Outstanding” Service to our carers (Ofsted 2009) supported by a dedicated team of team support workers.

Jay Fostering is part of the National Fostering Agency Group and while we retain our own identities we have benefited from the support of NFA’s services including working with six other acquired fostering agencies nationwide.

The Registered Manager will be accountable for the strategic planning of the agencies and developing and managing all aspects of the fostering and support functions. They will ensure that the agencies continue to provide high quality services through regular contact with our local authorities’ clients, continual supervision of the staff team and by seeking to improve working practices.

You will need to hold a Social Work qualification and current GSCC (or equivalent) registration and a NVQ Level 4 or higher management qualification.

You will have in-depth experience of working within fostering and services for children and will possess a high level and detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services. You will also have experience of managing and motivating a team.

Jay Fostering are looking for Foster Carers in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester

We are looking for child orientated, enthusiastic people who are able to offer children a secure and stable home.  You must have at least one spare bedroom, the ability to drive and the commitment and enthusiasm to support vulnerable children.  You will be required to have a CRB check (paid for by Jay Fostering) and go through a process of application.  In return we offer 24/7 professional support from our highly experienced staff, group meetings, tailored training and practical assistance wherever possible. 

If you feel you have the qualities required to become a foster carer you will receive a placement fee that reflects the true cost of looking after a child, certain travel expenses and respite scheme.
