Free Initial Training Course We run a training course throughout the year specifically geared to people who are considering fostering.They are free and are held on two consecutive Saturdays and to allow people who work to attend. Supervising Social Worker – Jay Fostering, Leicestershire

Area: Coventry & Warwickshire                                      

Salary £24K to 35K depending on experience                 

Would you like to join one of the fastest growing independent family friendly fostering agencies in the West and East Midlands? At Jay Fostering we pride ourselves in having a close knit team of social workers who provide “Outstanding” outcomes for children and young people (Ofsted 2013). 

We are part of the National Fostering Agency Group and while we retain our own identify we have benefited from the support of NFA’s services including working with five other acquired fostering agencies nationwide.

Supervising Social Workers are responsible for managing foster resources in an allocated area, recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting foster carers and their placements, ensuring that we provide quality and professional services.

You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the region.

You will need to be a qualified Social Worker and hold HCPC (or equivalent) registration, with recent experience in fostering and services for children. You will possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services.
